To say that life is harsh in Liberia is a profound understatement. The country is in its first year of relative peace after fourteen years of war.

The United Nations has more soldiers on the ground in Liberia than any other place on earth.

Joe Barkon (Choir and Teacher, 1st Baptist Church): Continued spiritual strength to keep working for God To fulfill my commitment to God. That I would be able to provide for my family

Sis Dorcas G. Barnard (Teacher, 1st Baptist Church): That Gods Holy Spirit would dwell in the heart of His people. For God to give me knowledge, wisdom, understanding & more encouragement to lead His people.

Stephen T.M. Bestman (Prayer warrior, 1st Baptist Church): Pray for success and condition of projects of the Ministry of our Church, such as the school and others. Pray for growth and progress. Pray for my family to know Christ personally.

Ms. Henrietta M. Blama (Teacher, 1st Baptist Church): For ministry growth and for the teachers to be spiritually rich in doing Gods will. That God would help me to grow & make me do His will as a leader.

C. Bennedict Brandt, Jr. (Musician, 1st Baptist Church): Unity in the music ministry. That God use me as an instrument in His work.

Calogan C. Browne (Member, 1st Baptist Church): That rural Churches be strengthen; that God would provide volunteers and prepare hearts for this unique but difficult task. To have an opportunity to do graduate study.

Juliana Buono (Ministry of Helps, 1st Baptist Church): Diligence and faithfulness. That the love of God will continue to abound in me that I may fulfill His calling upon my life. Pray also that my entire family would come to the saving knowledge of Christ.

Ruth Caesar (Deacon, Counselor, 1st Baptist Church): Resources to provide supplies (books, materials) for the counselors, and trainers to provide voluntary training to counselors. Counselors increase in spiritual growth, divine wisdom and understanding. Patience and time. For me personally, pray for increased understanding in God’s word, wisdom and steadfastness in the things of God as I also perform my duty for this nations as a legislator.

Simeon T. Cheah (Teacher, Evangelist, 1st Baptist Church): Pray that as we go out to minister God’s word, souls will be saved. Pray that God will bless me to have my family soon.

Emmanuel Dalamo (1st Baptist Church): That I would serve the Lord in truth and in spirit and that I would be obedient to His Word and do His will.

The Mae Davies Orphanage: Mrs. Davies, the founder of the orphanage, died during the war. For a few years the orphanage was run by three teenage girls, because of the war there was no one to help them. The First Baptist Church: Pastor Johnson, Pastor Koffa, Mrs. Taylor, and Mrs Serena helped them when they could during the war and are now a daily source of support and assistance. One of Pastor Johnson’s adopted sons visits the orphanage daily and teaches the children the Bible and songs. Please pray about this, even if you can’t support it financially. It needs our prayers. The Children need clothing, food, and shelter. Pray!

Jacob B. Davis (Usher): Unity in the Church (1st Baptist Church), and that I would be faithful in my Christian life.

Jeroline Vivian Tetee Davis (Choir, 1st Baptist Church): That God would use me as His vessel, and give me the sweetest singing voice to sing for Him. Also pray for my upcoming marriage.

Sabato Tentay Dennis (Member, 1st Baptist Church) Gifting in healing; that I may be a true servant of Jesus Christ.

Rev Henry F. E. Dogbet I (Itinerant Evangelist, 1st Baptist Church): For God’s anointing and grace to be upon me, and for divine favor.

Klady T. Dossen (Member, 1st Baptist Church): Pray that the Baptist Young Women Organization is committed to what God commands us to do. And for spiritual growth, God’s guidance & protection.

employment for my husband. And financial assistance to send our children to school.

Philip N. Gono (Prayer member): That this ministry (1st Baptist Church), will hold together and do the will of God. That God will guide us and strengthen us in times of trials and temptation. And that God will bless me with a scholarship to continue my education.

Rev. Richard D. Johnson (Pastor, First Philippian Baptist Church): An effective teaching and preaching ministry. That the Lord would transform my congregation.

Weder-Robert Johnson (Teacher): That God will provide teaching materials, and a greater resolve to become everything that the Lord would have me become.

Pastor Alfred K. Klee (Pastor, Greater Refuse Mt. Sinai Temple): That God would provide financial support to build our Church and school. Personally, I need wisdom, money to care for my family.

William K. Koffa, Jr. ( Pastor, 1st Baptist Church): Pray that God will touch the hearts of my church members to be committed in whatever ministry they have been called. Pray that my family who left the country as a result of the war in Liberia, will return soon. Pray for me for a scholarship for an
advanced theological education.

Amy Konah Kollie (Member, working with the Children, 1st Baptist Church): Pray for my ministry to be a powerful ministry and to also win many souls to know and come closer to Christ. Also, that I would be a strong and faithful Christian, not to continue living as a sinner.

Jallah F. Kollie (Teacher, 1st Baptist Church): Pray for me to be an example to others, that I grow in the word of God. Pray for success in my marriage & to bring up my children in the fear of the Lord.

Steve K. Konah (Teacher, 1st Baptist Church): Pray that we have a good learning environment/ situation where learning could be more accepted. Pray that I should get married, and get away from sin. Also, pray for a new school building.

Victor Koon (Pastor, musician, teacher, and Youth Director, 1st Baptist Church): Pray for genuine conversion and spiritual growth among youth and young adults in my Church and community. Please pray that God will provide the opportunity for me to seek graduate studies, so I can return to help my country, church.

Mack Lincoln (Musician, Teacher, 1st Baptist Church): Pray for love, understanding, caring for others, and that we will be each others brothers keeper. For me personally, I want a God fearing wife, strength, for me to have fear of the Lord and to have power to do His will.

Rose Janjay Monweh (Musician, 1st Baptist Church): Pray that God would give me the ability to sing praises to His name and to worship Him only. Pray that for me so that I will have a good husband, I want a God fearing man. Pray that God help me to be bold so I will be able to establish friendships.

Peter Morris (Teacher, Cameraman/Press, 1st Baptist Church): We should seek His kingdom first, then every thing will be added to our ministry through prayer in the name of Jesus. Presently, I am unemployed, therefore in the name of the almighty God in Jesus name please pray for me.

Nagbev (Pastor, Du-Port Road Baptist Church): That God will give me wisdom and knowledge in carrying forth His vision for ministry in rural Liberia; teaching and building reproducible Churches in Rivercess County as we have started. That God will provide support for schooling; ministry partners/covenant brothers and support/resources to focus and settle down
on full-time instead of part-time ministry, etc.

Albertha Mouch Preston (Project Officer, Baptist Young Women, 1st Baptist Church): Pray for unity, peace and hope. And transformation and break-thru in my life. Also, continue to pray for peace, love and communication between the LHCC and First Baptist Church Oldest Congo Town.

Henry Pritchard (Teacher): Pray that we have unity in God’s words. Pray that I should come closer to God, to know more about Jesus Christ and that God will provide a God fearing wife for me. That we all would work harder in the vineyard and that God will be glorified.

Comfort Y. Tarr (Musician): Please pray for me so that God will give me the gift of prophecy and praying. Let God make my family loving, united and caring for each other so that God will bless us.
